Hey,

Question, should the food storage and preservation be combined with food safety? There seems to be some overlap.

I wanted to try to keep them separate although there is some overlap. I think the goals are different and the understanding of the processes may also be different. Rdmarshb (talk) 19:06, 1 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
It might make sense to look at food storage and preservation through the lens of food safety. Generally speaking, ensuring that microorganisms are killed and mold doesn't grow on your bread (unless, of course, you're looking to make penicillin) is part and parcel of food safety.
Then again, there is quite a lot of information in both sections, such that merging them would make one excessively long section.Ndallen3 (talk) 18:59, 7 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
