I added the last paragraph on the current status of this year's election. I can find a source for the part about Weldon retiring, as well as the names of the contenders, but the part about high democratic turnout, a lack of polling info, and Blythe's chances are from 1) an exhaustive online search turned up absolutely NO polling data after 2006, 2) I spoke with Blythe's campaign manager (I know its not a neutral source, but i don't think it would benefit her to lie. Also, from personal experience traveling through the FL-15th, Blythe signs and bumper stickers outnumber Posey's 3 or 4-to-1. In addition, Zilaitis's signs and stickers are practically always seen on Republican/conservative voter's lawns, as evidenced by McCain/Palin signs and a unique Zilaitis sign reading "I'm not a party pooper; my party pooped on me! Vote Zilaitis!" I figured this to mean he's a libertarian-leaning candidate, much like Bob Barr, and will attract conservative voters rather than liberal/moderate-liberal voters).

If anyone has an information on this, i am looking for info on 1) Whether Zilaitis actually IS a libertarian or not (he has no party affiliation; i speak of libertarianism as a ideology rather than a specific party), 2) Funds raised by the respective campaigns, and 3) The name of the 4th candidate on the ballot (I know there is one, but its a very distant contender; I was unable to find a website or headquarters for his/her campaign, and have never come across any advertisements, signs, shirts, etc supporting this candidate). —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jgiorand (talkcontribs) 04:25, 24 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, he's a libertarian. He did have a campaign site that stated this. --Florida Is Hell (talk) 23:03, 29 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
