Floating Car Data and Floating Cellular Data

[edit]

Technically speaking, Floating Car Data and Floating Cellular Data are identical terminologies in operation and performance because they are used for the same purpose of estimating traffic flow progression. Does anyone have any objections to the convergence of both separate terms to "Floating Cellular Car Data? Please comment. --Lperez2029 18:03, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

By redirecting the page, I converged "Floating Car Data and Floating Cellular Data (FCD)" into one. I also cleaned up the article a bit, and I believe the original "Floating Car Data" term now easily and without confusion stands in the mind of the reader to define the purpose and intent of the application - just as easily as "Cellular Car Data" did. It is a system for monitoring car traffic and I did not see any practical need to have additional terms 'floating' around. --Lperez2029 23:29, 16 January 2007 (UTC)

Isn't "Wireless Signal Extraction" just another term for the same thing? If sop, it wouldnt need the special bullet point... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.194.34.103 (talk) 13:01, 21 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Looking at the AirSage page on WiSE it seems so. pvazteixeira (talk) 09:35, 27 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

actually this is a name of a specific vendor in the market and should be deleted —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ovnion (talkcontribs) 12:18, 8 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That doesn't automatically mean it should be deleted so I have reinstated it. Cassandra 73 (talk) 12:44, 9 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I Eliminated the "Wireless Signal Extraction" section here, since the "Wireless Signal Extraction" Term was a eliminated on the basis of PROD --Ovnion (talk) 15:18, 16 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
