History Box
[edit]In history related articles there is an automated box that allows clicking to related periods and figures, e.g. I read here that the Flemish Commmunity is created in 1980 in another one somewhere in 1996. This box would then automatically link to the years prior to 1980 or 1996 on this region/entity. So that people can easily scroll back to the Belgian state era, the era around 1800, 1700, 1600, 1500 and all the way to Charlemagne around 800 or jump to Emperor Karel. This helps to easier get in grips with history and all these historic figures. Example of such boxes on the right handside and all the way at the bottem of e.g. Charlemagne. Anybody knows how to implement this or is this only for historical figures? Thank you, --SvenAERTS (talk) 15:04, 25 March 2011 (UTC)

Why?
[edit]- "In Flanders it was decided that the institutions of the Flemish Community would take up the tasks of the Flemish Region, so there is only one Flemish Parliament and one Flemish Government."
Why? And why was this not done with Wallonia and the French Community? I feel like this is worth a paragraph or so across the various different articles dealing with these institutions. It's always just stated as if the reasons why are obvious and evident, but they are definitely not from an outsider's perspective. Criticalthinker (talk) 21:26, 2 September 2024 (UTC)
