Music complaints

[edit]

Initially, two IPs were adding complaints of the music volume that was sourced to Google search results. This "source" was then replaced in subsequent edits by customer reviews on tripadvisor and some personal blog reviews.[1][2][3][4][5]

Unfortunately, all of these sources fail to meet Wikipedia's guideline for reliable sources. I am starting the discussion of the sources here to try to resolve the issue, or to function as a bridge to the dispute resolution tools should an RfC be needed. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 22:12, 19 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I tried searching, but have been unable to find a source covering these claims that would meet the threshold of being a reliable source. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 22:32, 19 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, because it's saying "the customers complained about", it's reliable in that it reports what the customers are saying. I would NOT use it for anything else however. I realize it's not Time magazine or anything, but it's them most logical choice to go when customer complaints (or compliments) need to be verified as happening. In other words, it's acceptable for reporting what the customers thought only, and it cannot be presented as anything other than "customers complained about ". KoshVorlon Je Suis Charlie 16:42, 21 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

No it is not. It is a primary source that has neither reliability or weight - using it would be OR of the first degree. User generated content cannot be used for anything unless it is also supported in actual RS.User:Maunus ·ʍaunus·snunɐw· 18:15, 21 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
No, use going through first hand reports and coming up with "customers complained about" would be original research even if it was done correctly. If it is not covered by reliable sources it is not our place to cover it ourselves. Chillum 16:49, 21 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
It is unsupported by any major reliable source, and as such its inclusion is unacceptable. --Jeremy (blah blahI did it!) 05:41, 22 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Criticism

[edit]

Is the criticism section at all worthwhile? GASP! Burgers and fries aren't healthy! Film at 11! There isn't an equivalent section on the Burger King article. Should every article about obviously unhealthy food have a section about how unhealthy it is? FFS. If no one gives me a good reason to keep it, I'm deleting. --ShorinBJ (talk) 09:07, 4 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

BLTs?

[edit]

At the location I work at, BLTs are sold, meaning this isn't an exclusive thing to airports or the specific restaurant listed. And since when were BLTs a breakfast item?RuNeN00b (talk) 03:23, 19 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I am the Director, Communications for Five Guys and would like to make several edits to our Wiki page:

1. Change "drive-through window" to "mobile pickup window" and remove "The franchisee retained it from the former business in the building in light of COVID-19 pandemic safe practices." in the following sentence: On September 24, 2020, the first Five Guys location with a drive-through window opened in Surfside Beach, South Carolina. The franchisee retained it from the former business in the building in light of COVID-19 pandemic safe practices.

2. Change "reaching over 1,000 locations by 2012" to "surpassing 1,500 North American locations in 2020" in the following sentence: Over the next few years, the chain rapidly expanded across the entire United States and into Canada, reaching over 1,000 locations by 2012.[needs update]

3. Change "The chain now has 113 restaurants open across the UK." to "The chain has 136 restaurants open across the UK as of January 2022." in the following: The first location outside North America opened in the United Kingdom in July 2013, in London on Long Acre in Covent Garden.[18] The chain now has 113 restaurants open across the UK.

4. Change "Five Guys also has locations in the Middle East and has continued to expand in Europe. In late 2017, Five Guys opened its first restaurants in Germany, one in Frankfurt and one in Essen.[19]" to the following: "Five Guys also operates locations in the Middle East, Asia and across Europe. In 2016, landmark openings took place in Paris and Madrid, while Five Guys launched its first Australian restaurant in 2021."

5. In the menu section, please update the buns sentence to the following: "Five Guys buns are a proprietary recipe, using only nine ingredients such as flour, eggs, milk and sugar." JackGoodsonFG (talk) 17:42, 23 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. I'm also not convinced by changing "drive-through" to "mobile pickup"; I think the former is much more likely to be understood by readers. —me_and 13:20, 7 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
