Sections required

The article is quite long and should be broken up into sections. I considered keeping the first paragraph as a the lead section and then inserting section headings for:

  • Background [events leading up to the construction of the depot]
  • Construction [of the depot and barracks]
  • Closure and transfer to new site

but there's no obvious point in the article where the "Depot" was actually built. It's not clear whether the initial straw huts were the depot. Mitch Ames (talk) 09:31, 8 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not very keen on "First ..." in the article title. Toodyay Convict Hiring Depot (1851-1852) and Pensioner Guard Barracks (1851-1856) would be more specific, but:
