[edit]A small note here, "Michael Spritz, Alexey Klimov" and "Misha Sprits and Aljosha Klimov" are the same people, the latter version is using shorthand for their names and alternative family name spelling, i find it curious.
Teutonic Knights connection
[edit]The First Squad article could refer to parallels with Sergey Eizensten's famous silent movie about the Lake Tsud ice battle, in which polish troops and the Kievan Rus army destroyed the Teutonic Knight Order, some 700 years before WWII.
Ever since, the medieval german knights have become synonimous with utmost evil in russian lore, often used as a propaganda tool in russian WWII leaflets, easily explaining why First Squad creators choose them for antagonists. 82.131.128.143 (talk) 13:11, 11 September 2010 (UTC)
