Russian border guard as depicted by the RG article
[edit]The RG interview with General Streltsov does not appear to mention the Finnish border by name at all, although the "Arctic" border would include the northernmost secton north of the Arctic Circle. AFAICS the interview does not mention the width of the Russian border zone. If it does, please provide a quote of info per WP:Verifiability#Citing non-English sources. The HS article in English d/n mention the Russian side. Paavo273 (talk) 20:50, 3 April 2014 (UTC)

Text of border zone sign
[edit]I wanted to see what was written on the border zone sign but the image didn't have enough resolution. I found another image of the sign on this Quora page
Which included an image that clearly showed the wording

BORDER ZONE Do not enter the Border Zone without a special permit. The Border Zone is a strip along the state border with a maximum width of three kilometres on land and four kilometres at sea. The boundary line of Border Zone is marked in the terrain. Signposts are placed by public roads and passages as well as in built-up areas. In wooded areas, trees are ringed with yellow paint to mark the Border Zone, while yellow buoys, spar buoys and signs are used in waterways. In order to receive a permit, please contact the nearest Border Guard Official.
The image also shows the text in Finnish, Swedish, German and Russian.
