POV
[edit]The following is simply opinion and as such is not NPOV, thus I removed it:
- Final Cut Express misses many of the great features of Final Cut Pro, such as key framing, the removal of this feature made Final Cut Express pretty much unusable for the purpose it was intended - Video Post Production. With the removal of key framing many users found that even adobe Premiere 6.5 is greater function wise than Final Cut Express, but yet Final Cut Express still wins over with the overal layout usablity and fuction.
Such opinion might be valid for inclusion if a published reviewer of the sofware can be found who has expressed such opinions in the past. --Cab88 19:32, 25 November 2005 (UTC)
Numbers
[edit]Uh, is there any real reason for adding hyperlinks to the numbers 32 and 99? Unless if someone can give me a compelling reason I'm editing them out. KyjL 06:36, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
Universal version
[edit]Does anyone know if the latest edit (by 72.66.136.61) is truthful, concerning the release of the Universal version of the product with the next major release?
Also, how does one get the icon of a program from the icns file?
Re: Universal version
[edit]Apple's Final Cut Express site (http://www.apple.com/finalcutexpress/) says that "The next feature release of Final Cut Express will be a Universal application, which will run on both PowerPC- and Intel-based Mac computers."
To get the icon from the icns file, open up the icns file in Preview. From there, export it to JPEG or whatever format you want. A TIFF will preserve the transparency.
- Thanks; I should have seen that. --Baryonic Being 23:06, 14 February 2006 (UTC)
- The copy on the shelf at my local Apple Store is indeed a Universal version. Maury 20:06, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
Is soundtrack still included?
[edit]Is soundtrack still included in express 4? Apple's page does not mention it. Algr 19:22, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
Unfortunately, It's Not. It Even Says So in the Article. Final Cut Express 3.5 Does, However.--Christian Cardozo (talk) 17:22, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
There's a spam in the end of the article
[edit]There's a plug in the end of this article clearly added by a company trying to sell a product. It's the one that says "Import DVD Video into FCE" in "External Links". There is no need for that as such and it's a link to a product in www.mp4kits.com, that does the same thing as other free software (such as ffmpegx or mpeg streamclip) do. This is SPAM. Someone should remove it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.22.232.69 (talk) 21:13, 31 May 2009 (UTC)
I think the "criticism" section is bogus. It's just some random complaints. Who made these criticisms? This is not good enough for an encyclopaedia entry. The whole section should be removed. The fact that there's "no update since 2008" is just a fact that can be plainly stated somewhere else in the article.121.44.14.49 (talk) 13:43, 14 March 2011 (UTC)
Are there citations for the discontinuation of FCE?
[edit]The FCE URL is linked to Final Cut Pro on Apple site directly but are there news press or anything that declares FCE is discontinued? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.187.146.124 (talk) 01:35, 22 June 2011 (UTC)
