Figure vs Doll
[edit]Figurine is a diminutive form of the word doll. No it has most certainly nothing to do with the word doll. --Ben T/C 10:19, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
- So... change it back. That change was recently made by an anonymous user. -Seinfreak37 17:10, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
Figurine vs. statuette?
[edit]Is there any difference between statuettes and figurines, and in that case, what? This article seems to make a distinction between the two by saying that "a figurine is a statuette that represents a human, deity or animal". But this sounds just like what a statuette is according to the article Statue except from that it doesn't say that a statuette can represent a deity, which by the way also doesn't make any distinction between statuettes and figurines. —Kri (talk) 13:44, 18 October 2014 (UTC)
- Essentially, no. Johnbod (talk) 02:06, 23 October 2018 (UTC)
