De Gaulle
[edit]Although the name is written Charles de Gaulle, if he is referred to by his last name alone the D is capitalized to indicate that this is a name. This rule holds in English also even though “de” is not an English word. This is true of all names that contain “de” and “von” btw, not just his. Elinruby (talk) 02:43, 26 January 2022 (UTC)
