In my opinion, this article either lacks sufficient Attribution that it satisfies the Notability criteria for Organizations and companies, or it may violate the Conflict of interest guideline, or perhaps it is a Copyright violation.
Wikipedia articles must be based on reliable sources to verify any claims of notability. Even though the lack of reliable source attribution in an article is not grounds for deletion in itself, an article with absolutely no sources (or only external links to unreliable ones) suggests to some editors that multiple reliable sources may not, in fact, exist.
Although I am considering tagging this article for deletion according to the Deletion policy, I am nonetheless willing to assist User:Weissmann (talk · contribs), and other recent contributors to this article, to make constructive improvements to it ... I do not have time to examine this article in depth at the moment, and it may improve over time, in which case this warning was premature.
Please respond on this Discussion page, instead of on my Talk page, in order to avoid fragmenting the conversation. —Triwbe (talk) 10:45, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
- There's actually lots of information (surely enough to establish notability) on the German-language version of this page. That's all in German, of course, but it looks like there's plenty of material there for an interested editor with a good understanding of German to work with. Klausness (talk) 17:29, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
- The German wiki version is mostly edited by now blocked users. sometimes called the balve disquieter. Sebastian scha. (talk) 10:08, 24 August 2008 (UTC)
Cultural festival
[edit]Dear friends, what's the meaning of cultural festival? Best --Weissmann (talk) 12:43, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
Keep content notable as well
[edit]All content in Wikipedia should be notable and referenced. I do not think putting the whole list of every show is correct. See Wikipedia:NOTDIRECTORY#DIRECTORY. --Triwbe (talk) 11:02, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
- Agreed. This article should have information about the festival and its history (as found in the German version of the article), and perhaps some notable individual shows (probably less than in the German version, and definitely less than in this version). This is just turning into a data dump with very little encyclopedic content. Klausness (talk) 18:20, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
- OK, I took an axe to a lot of the excessive details. It still needs a lot of work (which I don't really have the time or inclination to put into it). May I suggest to editors who are interested in working on this article that they start with the information that's in the "Geschichte" section of the German version. Cast
[edit]Most of these informations are notable. Please don't delete them. Best --Weissmann (talk) 09:02, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
- Why are they notable? You need to give some evidence of that. If a performer isn't notable enough to have their own wikipedia article, then they probably aren't notable enough to appear here. Wikipedia is not a directory. To see how a festival like this is normally covered in wikipedia, look at the article for a much more notable and well-known festival, such as the Salzburg Festival. The English version of the article could perhaps be expanded a bit, but a full version of the article would probably look something like the German version. Note the complete absence of lists of performances, let alone cast members and musicians for those performances. People can get information about things like cast members by following the external link to the festival web site, if they want. It's not the job of an encyclopedia to duplicate that information. Klausness (talk) 09:17, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
- If a performer, musician or a director is notable enough for Wikipedia he should be notable for this article (e.g. William Danne, Ralf Linke). --Weissmann (talk) 10:06, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, notable persons are worth including. However, neither of the articles you linked to have any claim of notability, so they're actually candidates for speedy deletion (see WP:A7). Since you wrote both of these articles, you may want to include an appropriate claim of notability (they might still be candidates for deletion if the persons aren't actually notable, but without even a claim of notability, the articles are candidates for speedy deletion). I won't add a speedy deletion tag to those articles, but someone else could do so at any time, so you may want to have a look at adding some claims of notability (and also some references that actually establish notability, so the articles are not non-speedily deleted). 2006 is referenced? --Weissmann (talk) 06:31, 18 July 2008 (UTC)
1998 is referenced? --Weissmann (talk) 08:07, 23 July 2008 (UTC)
The reference is my knowledge. Sometimes it's a little bit weird. Best --Weissmann (talk) 08:15, 23 July 2008 (UTC)

Ensemble's director
[edit]Hi there, I can't find a reference for "ensemble's director". What about the term "ensemble's speaker"? Best --Weissmann (talk) 09:27, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
Done. --Weissmann (talk) 07:20, 24 August 2008 (UTC)
