[edit]Added by 118.92.189.35:
- A replica of the Modulo, in black, appeared in the 1980's film, Black Moon Rising as the titular Black Moon vehicle at the centre of the plot. The vehicle is explicitly of Italian i.e. Ferrari origin, as a character in a line of dialog discusses the vehicles return to Italy upon its recovery.
Removed again by user:Bazzargh stating "Italian could be eg Lamborghini LP400"
- Well it may not be an exact replica but it certainly looks a lot like the Ferrari Module and not at all like a Lamborghini LP400. See Concordia II entry at Internet Movie Car Database The Seventh Taylor (talk) 19:56, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
- Frankly, even if it were the Modulo, this would hardly qualify as encycoplopedic information. Cheers, --328cia (talk) 20:08, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
- It is only superficially similar to the Modulo. Take a look at the Modulo's wheel arches, or the spoiler on the Concordia. The whole front section slides open on the Modulo, the Concordia has a roof hatch. The only other evidence this editor had was that a character in the movie refers to the car belonging to an italian collector (the word 'Ferrari' is never mentioned). My point with the Lambo was more that equating Italy with Ferrari is tenuous at best.
- And then there's the reason why I looked at the edit in the first place - this editor was inserting poorly researched info in other articles - eg in Robin Hood he claimed that all tales are set in the time of Richard I (in fact all of the older stories use different kings), and in The Carnival of the Animals he asserted that Le Cygne (Saint-Saëns) was written as a caricature of the ballerina Anna Pavlova when in fact she was only 5 at the time the piece was written. I don't think they'll be bringing forward more references to back this up; and without that, the assertion that it is a replica is just an assertion. I did actually check, btw - I can't find Kwok or Beaujardin mentioning Ferrari in connection to this car. Bazzargh (talk) 20:17, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for the info - I do not even know this film, but wanted to express my displeasure with including this kind of trivia. Will take a look though, as my curiosity has been titillated. --328cia (talk) 20:21, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
- Well, this thing is certainly not the Modulo and just proves that Pininfarina is a master of his craft and other folks ain`t. Cheers, --328cia (talk) 20:25, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
