This is a great article. Thanks to the authors. All the guitar articles get flagged with "no references". I have a copy of the book "The Fender Telecaster" (at my storage location), if I can dig it out I'll add the references. Wikipedia is fast becoming the definative reference souce for guitar information. Wasn't there a Fender Tele Custom from the 60s (before CBS) that was like a more upmarket version of the Telecaster (e.g. ribbed binding like a Les Paul) that featured 2 single coil pickups?

Why not make a section for the 60s telecaster custom?

Claptons Fender Telecaster used early to mid Seventiees for touring and recording

Eric Clapton Also used a Fender Telecaster in the early to mid seventiees with a Humbucker in the neck. He usually used a 1952 Fender Telecaster for most of the seventiees for recording and live performances with single coils in it given to him by Carl Raddle.
