Reverted editions
[edit]Hello Jeff G.: You have reverted today a day worth of my editions calling it "dubious unsourced content". I am in this sport and have cited reliable sources form FIE and 2010 Youth Olimpics that supported the article. It maybe true that article was unrefined, but I can assure you that it would be understood by anyonje who is involved in this sport. No troll (talk) 01:33, 9 August 2010 (UTC)
Mixed teams composition - Medal count
[edit]Can I confirm that the medals for the continental mixed teams do not count in the unofficial medal tally?
The mixed teams are comprised of competitors from different nations - I am seeing people add 'medals' to Nation counts who had a participating member in the mixed team. GreenB.live (talk) 22:31, 18 August 2010 (UTC)
- IOC should know the answer. No troll (talk) 23:20, 18 August 2010 (UTC)
- Medal is a medal. This mixed competition is unique in composition, but each fencer who recieved a medal must be credited, and so, the fencer's country. Therefore, I am updating medals counts accordingly. No troll (talk) 18:36, 19 August 2010 (UTC)
- There is a discussion ongoing at Talk:2010 Summer Youth Olympics. You can access it quickly by clicking here. They are medals, but should not be attributed in full or part to each NOC. Treat it as - if your country flag gets raised, that's when you count a medal as a medal on the table. What you are saying is that a medal should be attributed to both Italy and Russia because they won Gold. In reality, there was only one gold medal, and they won under the IOC flag, not the NOCs that they hailed from. Please continue the discussion on the other page, there are more senior editors and experts who have provided their opinion there.GreenB.live (talk) 06:09, 20 August 2010 (UTC)
- Thank you for the link to the discussion. I find your comment about more senior editor and experts is inapproriate and provocative. No troll (talk) 15:01, 22 August 2010 (UTC)
