Wikimedian in Residence; Userbox

[edit]

I recently started work as Wikimedian in Residence at the Society. Over the coming year, I'll be working with RSC staff and members, to help them to improve the coverage of chemistry-related topics in Wikipedia and sister projects.

You can keep track of progress at Wikipedia:GLAM/Royal Society of Chemistry, and use the talk page if you have any questions or suggestions, or requests for help.

I've made a user box for fellows (and members) of the society: {{User member RSChem}}. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 13:49, 8 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I think that it would be good to add a link to the list of fellows if there is one possible. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.88.114.8 (talk) 14:57, 22 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

How to determine whether someone is a fellow?

[edit]

Pigsonthewing, how can it be reliably determined whether someone was recently made a fellow of the RSC? I am trying to clean up the article Jingguang Chen, and an IP recently added that he was made a fellow this year (2023). The Times hasn't published new fellows since 2005, and I can find no list of fellows on the RSC website. I can find no independent report that Chen was made a fellow, so I am going to remove the claim. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks! Elementym (talk) 08:01, 3 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
