Children's book is not RS
[edit]The Civil War, 1840s-1890s; by Roger E. Hernandez, Roger E. Hernndez; ISBN 9780761429395; ISBN 0761429395. This children's book does not constitute a Reliable Source to be cited as a source.Parkwells (talk) 03:05, 22 April 2012 (UTC)
Name?
[edit]Fernández Cavada's parents were Emily Howard Gatier and Isadoro Fernández Cavada. By Spanish naming patterns, he should have been called Federico Fernández Gatier. What happened?Parkwells (talk) 03:15, 22 April 2012 (UTC)
- Geat job. You have been around here for a long time, therefore there is no need to say that we go by reliable verifiable sources. All the sources indicate that he went by Fernández Cavada and not by Fernández Gatier. Why? Who is to know, Federico is the one that knows and he ain't around to tell us why. There are many notable people who for reasons only known to them go by other names and not their birth names. Good examples are baseball Hall of Famers Ted Williams and Reggie Jackson. Williams' real name was "Samuel Stuart Williams Venzor", his mother was Mexican-American. Jackson's real name was "Reginald Martinez Jackson", his father was Puerto Rican. Take care.
