I propose to delete this page by Dec. 31 and change it back to a redirect to Taxation in the United States. The articles are mostly redundant, and have too many problems to remain separate. Oldtaxguy (talk) 04:32, 8 December 2010 (UTC)
Proposed for deletion
[edit]I have proposed this article for deletion. It is fully redundant with Taxation in the United States, and the first version of the article (other than the initial redirect) was copied entirely from that article. This article has problems too numerous to count, including poorly cited, inaccurate, undue weight given to minor topics and no coverage of major topics, etc. I separately proposed that the WP:Taxation group undertake a major revision to Taxation in the United States. See the talk page of that article for proposed outline, comments, to-do list, etc. Trying to maintain two lengthy, redundant articles will result in much wasted effort
This article should be changed to a simple redirect to Taxation in the United States. I will defer further action until late January to allow for comments here or on WP:Taxation. Oldtaxguy (talk) 22:45, 2 January 2011 (UTC)
- Support - I agree that this article could be a topic of its own and probably greatly expanded, but as it stands now, it's just duplication. Seems we should get the main article improved, then look at how we can best break it up while in a summary style form. Morphh (talk) 00:39, 3 January 2011 (UTC)
- Comment I am not opposed to this at the moment. But I think when the sub-federal U.S. taxation articles get to a sufficient size and state this will need to be reconsidered. Int21h (talk) 06:03, 3 January 2011 (UTC)
