Merge

I just took the data in this table and added to it to create a table of spending by state as well as taxation. I also added a column for net contribution (tax revenue - spending). I put the resulting table in the article Federal spending and taxation across states so this should end the merger discussion. The table here is a bit out of date and should be updated, but my table also relates to the 2008 election so 2007 data is fine there. Jaywilson (talk) 09:29, 30 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'm fine with setting up the merge, but I do have a few problems with the other article, but I will discuss those there. Best, epicAdam(talk) 15:18, 30 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Update

[edit]

Somebody update the table please. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.209.230.70 (talk) 14:17, 28 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

• Why is the most recent table's values given in "thousands of dollars," but the other tables below are not constructed in this way? Where is the consistency? ping @Mick.phillips:

Per Capita?

[edit]

Is Wikipedia really going to force to crunch those numbers by my self?§ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 187.234.42.108 (talk) 18:02, 4 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Minnesota is the Shocker here. Delaware can be explained by corporate tax, DC by Lawyers and politicians, lobbyist, etc.

By Minnesota's average income is 13th, But it is essentially number for #1 per worker for federal tax revenue.

WHY?

Sure enough, Minnesota is at the top of the list, giving 6 dollars for every 1 it receives. https://smartasset.com/data-studies/states-most-dependent-federal-government-2023 187.234.50.148 (talk) 03:17, 10 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
