The September 2007 warning notes that this page lacks citations. All I can say is it that it gives a remarkably accurate description of many of the problems in my life, and one which I couldn't find anywhere else. The text also seems measured and controlled. So I found it immensely helpful and would caution against any over-enthusiastic pruning in future in the quest for rigour... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.9.96.143 (talk) 17:46, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
- However good an account of the Carter/Sokol Commitmentphobia concept this article may be (and it seems fine, although needing more citations, as noted), it is not, in my opinion, a sufficiently balanced description of the topic of Fear of commitment as a whole. This article needs to be much more encyclopaedic, to discuss alternative interpretations of the concept (such as milder resistence to commitment that don't qualify as phobias), and to position itself within other relationship-themed articles. I'm not qualified (or interested enough, really) to do this restructuring, but if someone is willing to do the research I'm happy to help compose. Gabrielbodard (talk) 19:01, 4 January 2012 (UTC)
yes, this entry reads like an advertisement for the Carter/Sokol books. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.172.150.2 (talk) 21:03, 22 November 2013 (UTC)
