Change in primary nationality in football
[edit]May be the change failed, due to the application needs to apply before his 21st birthday, so i remove the unsourced text. Matthew_hk tc 09:07, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
Transfermart.de is not a reliable source, as per Wikipedia:Templates for discussion/Log/2013 December 10. The other two sources say that he is a German national. I understand that he has a different background, but in terms of his nationality, he is German.
Thanks,
206.45.85.82
- The fact that he is joining "ethnic Albanians" at his new club is wrong in so many ways. One, being that ethnicity is irrelevant to the whole article. If Lionel Messi, who has partial Italian heritage, joined Inter Milan, would you say: "He joined fellow ethnic Italians Andrea Ranocchia, Luca Castellazzi and Marco Andreolli."? That would be ridiculous.
Thanks,

- (talk page stalker) I would have to agree, in what way is it relevant to this article to mention a bunch of other players?. QED237 (talk) 16:29, 24 January 2014 (UTC)
@Qed237, here in my country on media mentioned this anytime, so I think my other compatriots when read about their article, let them read that also. @206.45.85.82, I'm not talking to biggest player, but for my country , who is a little country and not such famous. Something for both of you: Did wikipedia has a rule who stop those kind of info ? Thank you. --Eni.Sukthi.Durres (talk) 20:56, 24 January 2014 (UTC)
- It doesn't matter how big or small you think a country is, all should be treated the same. If your compatriots want to learn about what players Toski will be playing with at his new club, they should read about it on the FSV Frankfurt article. 206.45.85.82 (talk) 00:43, 26 January 2014 (UTC)
- Forgot to reply earlier, but I must say the response from 206.45 is spot on. I agree with everything. QED237 (talk) 00:53, 26 January 2014 (UTC)
- You were asking about wikipedia rules and the best suited is WP:NOTABILITY not everything is notable to have in a article. QED237 (talk) 00:54, 26 January 2014 (UTC)
- In view of the fact that he has declared he may play for Albania or Kosovo (sourced), that is relevant. And it's not that the article is 100Megabyte to remove important media reported news. --Vetemekenshkodran (talk) 17:15, 28 January 2014 (UTC)
- The important content about his Albanian background and potential decision to play for Albania is still in the article. The only thing I am removing is "joining fellow ethnic Albanians". Read my reasoning above to understand. User talk:Qed237 agrees with me. 198.163.150.14 (talk) 17:22, 28 January 2014 (UTC)
- User Qed237 made his comments before I added important sources to Toski's article about his international status. If he disagrees with me, I don't think he needs your help to express themselves. Please read WP:TRUTH and don't revert any longer sourced material in Wikipedia. You are removing important information from a lot of players and you are edit-warring me. If you want to remove unsourced material, please follow tagging and ask for citations, but don't remove blindly. --Vetemekenshkodran (talk) 17:29, 28 January 2014 (UTC)
- To summaries. Information about what country he has said he will play for is usefull. Teammates in his current club, not usefull at all. If people want to know the info is available in other articles. QED237 (talk) 17:35, 28 January 2014 (UTC)
- This is not in the summary, but in the article below and there is no policy or guideline that prohibits it. Vetemekenshkodran (talk) 17:38, 28 January 2014 (UTC)
- Reported the IP for edit-warring. --Vetemekenshkodran (talk) 18:10, 28 January 2014 (UTC)

- @Qed237, if isn't usefull to add these kind of information, is that forbidden or break wikipedia's rules? If not, than why you don't let us to do our "job" for most importantly our compatriots as I mentioned in previous discussion about?--Eni.Sukthi.Durres (talk) 20:38, 28 January 2014 (UTC)
@Vetemekenshkodran: You are editwarring just as much as him so I might just report you as well. This is a case of content dispute and wheter or not it is notable and you should not edit war either! QED237 (talk) 21:52, 28 January 2014 (UTC)
- Going to quote WP:OPENPARA and remove the origin part in the lead as this is very clear:
"Ethnicity or sexuality should not generally be emphasized in the opening unless it is relevant to the subject's notability.". QED237 (talk) 19:51, 30 January 2014 (UTC)
