Release date

I don't know the precise release date of FH 4 but it seems to be impossible to edit the template just to show the month. How can I stop the 9 from appearing? The current format is very confusing as it is in US date order which is very misleading if you are not in the U. It would be much better to include write out the month in full so that there is no confusion between US and British readers? Does anyone know how to fix this?
