Been doing some research on the church and I can find reference of the 12th century cross but no mention that it is both rare and one of the few remaining. Historic Scotland describe it as a crosshead in there audit of the building and contents. Funny enough probably the most important thing about the church which was missing from the article is that the it gave it's name to the town of Falkirk.
