Belt
[edit]When Chris Chetti brought this title back, what belt did he use? A new one, or the original belt? SilentRage 11:19, 22 June 2006 (UTC)
- I believe it was the real belt, Pete(Taz), I think gave it to him. TonyFreakinAlmeida 23:56, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
- The first FTW belt was made by NY indy wrestler/beltmaker Mike Vartanian. It was not an old TV title, but a brand new belt made specifically for Taz. The belt DID say television on it and have a FTW sticker covering it, but the belt specifically had Taz name engraved on the top. The belt was a modified version of the ECW TV Title at that time. The ECW TV Title at the time, also made by Mike Vartanian did not have the Taz name engraved at the top. As for the belt's current location, Taz sold the belt to Judge Jeff Jones who works for Maryland Championship Wrestling who let Chris Chetti use the belt during the angle in MCW. The belt is now owned by a private collector. --BeltFanDan (talk) 22:54, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
Notes
[edit]Please stop adding "The original belt used for the FTW belt was a retired TV Championship belt painted orange." The original belt was a brand new belt specifically made for Taz. His name is engraved in the upper portion of the belt. It was NOT a retired Television belt, although the belt is the same design. If it were an old TV belt how would the Taz portion get on the belt? Welded? Even if it is possible, I have held the belt in my hand and as pictures clearly show, it was all one piece so it was not a modified belt but a brand new belt. Numerous people can verify this including past owners of the belt as well as the creator of the belt, Mike Vartanian. --BeltFanDan (talk) 02:53, 13 December 2007 (UTC)
