In section List of manuals the links in the subsection titles CRM, CMS, and VOIP should be moved (e.g. into (new) normal text) or removed. Justification: Ref 1, Ref 2, and Ref 3. --Mortense (talk) 19:13, 5 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This article want to be a list article, but list articles are links (L), whereas this article is external links (EL). Since Wikipedia is not hosting the manuals, the ELs cannot become Ls. The entire section—or even the article, and there are 1500 links to it—might need to be eviscerated per WP:EL: "Sites that are only indirectly related to the article's subject: the link should be directly related to the subject of the article." FLOSS Manuals should be an article about FLOSS manuals whose external links go to information about FLOSS manuals. These external links go to particular computing utilities. — CpiralCpiral 17:43, 20 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Not everything which happens to be a list needs a list article. Anyway, the issue at hand is the wholly inappropriate "list of manuals" section. Per WP:EL#Minimize the number of links, we only need the link to the root website: the various manuals are linked from there. Adding links to every single manual individually is unnecessary, as this article is not a site map. Chris Cunningham (user:thumperward) - talk 18:05, 20 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
