I was looking for a page to coordinate eye defects, as there was no easy way to navigate these, and chose this one, which I have now nominated as a Root page. Associated pages should ensure that they put a link to this page at the top of their 'See also'list. --Lindosland 14:23, 12 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

?This article has specific eye examination recommendations - "should" used a lot. Is that appropriate for an Encyclopaedia or better kept to text book/teaching course. Perhaps re-phrase is better?

merge with vision test

[edit]

I think this should be merged with vision test.--76.93.42.50 (talk) 02:55, 8 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Vision test now is about only the Snellen chart. That test is just one of many tests that could be performed during an eye examination. I suggest the articles be kept separate. Robert P. O'Shea (talk) 19:23, 2 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
These articles should probably be split again. Nowadays, eye examination are about more than just testing the vision. Many retinopathies are related to diabetes, blood pressure, etc. There are even research projects studying the shape of retinal vessels to predict disease risks without relation to vision (peripheral artery disease, cardiovascular risk, dementia, etc.) A vision test is only one type of eye examination NicGambarde (talk) 11:48, 2 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

artificial eyes

[edit]

A rare requirement, but necessary to have one fitted to get the best results asthetically.

Article lacks information on astigmatism

[edit]

It would be good if someone could add details of how astigmatism is tested for, and whether it is best to include correction for low value astigmatism in a prescription or not. --Lindosland (talk) 10:59, 29 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
