What country is this about?

[edit]

This article makes no mention of the country in which this information applies. Is it Australia, Canada, USA, or what? Not Britain, since the various acronyms are not current there.

Without the country, the article is potentially misleading. 87.112.68.200 18:58, 22 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Residual family payment

[edit]

This is professional jargon that is meaningless to almost all families. Please use something clearer. I did, but it was changed to this. deisenbe (talk) 14:05, 19 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

How long?

[edit]

One glaring omission is an explanation of whether the EFC number is for the entire duration of the student's college career, or just for that year. As a parent going through this for the first time, I'm surprised that there is no explanation of this on the form, either. Otherwise, helpful article, thank you!

just like you have to do a tax return every year, you have to do the FAFSA every year. I'll add a note. deisenbe (talk) 17:59, 23 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
