Rasp?
[edit]This book on Google shows a Japanese rasp that appears to be made using expanded metal. --Una Smith (talk) 05:01, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
Industry standards for notation
[edit]I came here looking for an explanation of the esoteric notations used in describing expanded metal products. For instance, the weight of expanded metal is measured in pounds per c.s.f. What is c.s.f.? And expanded metal comes in styles like 1 1/2" #12 or 3/4" #16. What does that mean? A2Z (talk) 15:59, 4 June 2013 (UTC)
Clarity
[edit]"It is often shortened to exmet. "Exmet", however, is a registered trademark in the US for expanded metal produced by Expanded Metal Company, Ltd.[1] It is a large part of the metal industry and plays a key role in metal fabrication." Does this mean expanded metal in general is a large part of the industry or specifically Exmet(tm) and/or the company that makes it is a large part?--Arvedui (talk) 08:23, 15 November 2016 (UTC)
Merger proposal
[edit]I propose that Expanded sheet metal be merged into Expanded metal. Both refer to the same material and the source page is a stub. Theodore Kloba (☎) 15:59, 2 February 2018 (UTC)
- Support As they're referring to the same thing, as far as I can tell, why not? --Joshualouie711talk 20:20, 2 February 2018 (UTC)
Since there were no opposing comments, I just replaced the source page with a redirect. There were no valid references on the source page.—Theodore Kloba (☎) 22:31, 12 February 2018 (UTC)
