Heerlenaar?

[edit]

The fact that the jar has been found there, doesn't necessarily say, that the guy who made it, has ever been in Heerlen. It can have been herited by someone, who lived in, or moved to Heerlen. James Blond (talk) 02:46, 25 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The source states: "Tussen de overblijfselen van de oven vonden de opgravers de scherven van een kruik, waarop de pottenbakker in enkele regels zijn levensverhaal had gekrast. " .". Meaning that the jar was found still in the kiln (the kiln exploded during the baking proces)Mach10 (talk) 12:32, 7 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Change name and focus of article?

[edit]

Given the fact that the principal focus of the article is about a jar uncovered during an excavation at Heerlen, and that the maker of the jar (whom this article is named after) is a potter, whose life certainly does not meet the Wikipedia:Notability (people) guidelines, I am suggesting that we change the name of the article to Excavations at Heerlen (1971), thereby allowing this article to be expanded with any additional finds that were uncovered at the site during the dig. Does anyone have any objections? Oatley2112 (talk) 07:32, 5 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
