This entry mixes up two different songs that happen to have the same title. The song recorded by LaCosta was written by Sonny Curtis, according to what I can see on a photo of the original 45. (online here: https://rateyourmusic.com/release/single/la-costa/even-cowgirls-get-the-blues-alice-texas.p/) The version recorded by Harris and Anderson is the one by Rodney Crowell. They are definitely two different songs musically and lyrically.
