Notability issues

Her husband had a Wiki article before this, but per WP:ONEEVENT, notability is not inherited, and nothing thus far shows her to be independently notable.--Kintetsubuffalo (talk) 15:43, 11 July 2012 (UTC)

She is/was the richest woman in the United Kingdom. And had also had a successful career as a businesswoman. That plus this latest event is within WP:GNG.--BabbaQ (talk) 15:58, 11 July 2012 (UTC)
Actually, no. The first is not categorically stated in the article, just "one of", and the second is not notable by itself, there are many successful businesswomen. My point stands as made.--Kintetsubuffalo (talk) 17:25, 11 July 2012 (UTC)
Nonsense. She has been the subject of two independent spikes in coverage, one when she was arrested in 2008 and again now in 2012 after she was found dead. There is also coverage of her early life and background (see sources in the article). Two events plus background info ≠ one event. There is a wealth of sources in some of the most reputable publications on the planet, and so she passes GNG. You may think she's tabloid fodder, but ultimately Wikipedia guidelines disagree with you. Basalisk inspect damageberate 21:31, 11 July 2012 (UTC)
