[edit]I've added the section "Awards" to note the many (>20) science medals issued by the EGU, such as the Milutin Milankovic Medal. That award does not yet have its own page - that would be a good project. These science medals are a good reference for notability. If you don't want every geophysics prof to have a page, noting the winners of these awards is one good screen for who to write up.Birdbrainscan (talk) 22:37, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Logo egu.gif
[edit]Image:Logo egu.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

List of EGU publications
[edit]Why was the list of EGU publications deleted? I think this list provided very useful information. I do agree that there should be no external links in the text, however, three of the journals had links to their wikipedia pages (ACP, GMD and OS). I don't think these 3 journals should be deleted. Regarding the other 11 journals, maybe they could be reintroduced as red-links (as an incentive to create wikipedia pages for them) but I'm not sure about the wiki policy here.--RolfSander (talk) 11:38, 15 June 2012 (UTC)
- There's a link to the EGU page listing all journals, so there is no need to repeat that info. Some of these are perhaps not yet notable according to WP:NJournals. I have added a link under "see also" to the existing 3 journal articles. --Guillaume2303 (talk) 13:22, 15 June 2012 (UTC)
