Manet's Philosopher

[edit]

I inserted "clarification needed" after "Eugène may also be the chiffonnier (rag-picker) to the right in his brother's painting Philosophers of 1865." In the Gallery section of Édouard Manet is a painting labeled "The Philosopher, (Beggar with Oysters), 1864–67, Art Institute of Chicago" and another labeled "The Ragpicker, 1865–70, Norton Simon Museum, Pasadena." But these are separate paintings, so one is not to the right of the other. To what painting does the sentence refer? Maurice Magnus (talk) 03:06, 14 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I found the answer and edited the section. Maurice Magnus (talk) 04:10, 14 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
