Missed An Album
[edit]You missed one album by Etta Jones: It was called "Just Friends" that came out in the 1960s. I inherited the album from my mother. It featured other songs such as "You Came A Long Way From Saint Louie, and other good tunes. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.229.102.208 (talk) 02:02, 7 March 2011 (UTC)
Confusion with Dandridge Sisters member
[edit]I've posted a comment over at Talk:Dandridge_Sisters that notes that the biographical info in this article is also being used on the IMDB page for the Dandridge Sisters performer of the same name. (I've also created that redlink.)
It is possible, of course, that the info in this article is wrong — especially because it is largely uncited. Just posting this here to help any future editors. Woodshed (talk) 21:46, 22 April 2011 (UTC)
- And to talk to myself ... OK, The Biographical Encyclopedia of Jazz[1] and Stormy Weather: The Music and Lives of a Century of Jazzwomen[2] confirm the birth/death dates, place of birth/death, etc. So IMDB is wrong. Which is totally surprising. Woodshed (talk) 22:31, 22 April 2011 (UTC)
Confusing sentence
[edit]I think that this sentence is wrong: "Her last recording, a tribute to Billie Holiday, was released 57 years later on the day of Jones' death". Her last recording was released on the day of Jones' death, it's true, on October 16th 2001, but not "57 years later". In fact the sentence was in old versions of this page after the phrase "... were produced by Leonard Feather in 1944...". Actually this part of the sentence has no sense. I'd like to suggest the deletion of this part of the sentence "57 years later". - Agreed. Go ahead and remove it. Eman235/talk 01:20, 17 October 2015 (UTC)
