Esther Howard did have a strong connection to the Columbia short movies. She appeared in films with all six of The Three Stooges.
She was seen with Larry, Moe, and Curly in Idle Roomers, 1944. She was in the Shemp Howard solo film Boobs in the Woods, 1940. Then, with Joe DeRita in Wedlock Deadlock, 1947.
