The result of the proposal was move' both. JPG-GR (talk) 16:17, 12 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

EstevanEstevan (disambiguation) — I think it's a bit unreasonable to have a dab page here just because of another very small town, a lighthouse, and a photographer (who would be searched by their full name anyways). Also proposing to move Estevan, Saskatchewan to Estevan in it's place because it is bigger than the town in Belize. —-Royalguard11(T·R!) 18:05, 5 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

From WP:DAB: "Do not add links that merely contain part of the page title (where there is no significant risk of confusion). Only add links to articles that could use essentially the same title as the disambiguated term. Disambiguation pages are not search indices." I think there is grounds for the disambig page to be deleted. Sam Staton (talk) 22:25, 5 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
So far, two. And dozens more of Esteban (in modern Spanish language, "v" and "b" are often interchanged, as there is no pronunciation difference). --Qyd (talk) 15:07, 7 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, but disambiguation pages shouldn't list people with that first name. See e.g. David (disambiguation), where no first-name Davids (eg David Jason, David Bellamy) are listed. Nobody ever searches for someone by their first name. I suggest we follow the precedent for David and put a hat note at the top of the page. Sam Staton (talk) 15:18, 7 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It should be, it's wrong as it is now. As we all now, wikipedia is a work in progress. This, however, is no reason to make the same kind of mistake here. --Qyd (talk) 02:06, 9 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think it should be, actually. From WP:DAB: "Only add links to articles that could use essentially the same title as the disambiguated term." There is no way that the article Stephen would ever have the title "Esteban". Sam Staton (talk) 13:57, 9 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
