Fair use rationale for Image:ADsmall.jpg

[edit]

Image:ADsmall.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Reference to the movie: Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid

[edit]

The end of this episode is a reference to Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. It has the same ending.

Unfortunately, that's original research unless you have reliable sourcing establishing that it's an intentional reference. Doniago (talk) 19:40, 12 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The Warriors

[edit]

Much of the escape scene is based off of this film. This is proven by the fact that, after Toshi says the line about an attacker claiming his ghost as a slave, The Warriors' theme song is played. You'd have to be daft to think the similarities aren't intentional in light of this, so it isn't "original research". QED. 205.133.172.113 (talk) 20:03, 20 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I've already commented on this sort of thing above. You need a source to establish that the reference was intentional or it does constitute original research. "It's obvious" is an insufficient argument. Doniago (talk) 20:06, 20 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, Mr. I Know Everything, then why do you think they played the FUCKING THEME MUSIC DURING THE SCENE? What do you think they could possibly be referencing, Harry Potter? 205.133.172.113 (talk) 20:11, 20 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

See also: Wikipedia:You don't need to cite that the sky is blue. Do you expect me to get Seth MacFarlane to admit in writing that the reference was intentional?205.133.172.113 (talk) 20:19, 20 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

When you'd like to discuss this civilly I'll be happy to hear your arguments as to how this does not constitute original research. Until then, good day. If you still feel the insertion is merited you're welcome to ask other editors to chime in to establish a consensus favoring your position. There is a project link at the top of the page that can be used for such purposes. BTW, the link you provided is an essay, not a guideline or policy. Just pointing it out in case you were unaware. Doniago (talk) 20:25, 20 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I love how you don't back up your assertions with anything resembling logic, don't answer any of MY assertions, pretend you don't notice the points I've made, and take any excuse you can get to justify not responding to my arguments because of your inability to do so. I also find it amusing that you convince yourself that you're better than me via projection. I've seen other bureaucratic asshats like you remove valuable content from an article because you're mad that somebody changed what you wrote, and it's childish and pathetic. If reverting every single edit made to this page is really that important to you, then do it. Editors like you form the backbone of TOW, which is why it will NEVER be a credible OR comprehensive source of information. 205.133.172.113 (talk) 21:08, 20 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Addendum

[edit]

Doniago is an A-1 nob who is about helpful here as a tumor in the lower colon. He is also, by just looking at his talkpage history, one of the most hated and sanctimonious editors on this site. Of course it's a reference to the Warriors otherwise it would not be funny and a pointless 10 minutes of the episode. The principal even plays the radio DJ in the film, "get to it boppers". You see as it's part of the plot they cannot abide someone explaining the jokes, using the retarded logic it's original research...der the point of the gag is it's link to a known film. Otherwise why are you laughing? They want you to believe everyone is laughing for different reasons.

This argument is not about inclusion of helpful information it's about power. Doniago is a fool who has nothing in the real world. 86.145.3.80 (talk) 09:34, 6 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
