"and also worked with computers"

[edit]

That sounds like a 1982 sales pitch before anyone knew what a computer was. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.47.110.146 (talk) 16:39, 3 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Down in the Valley MP3 by Erland van Lidth

[edit]

Does anyone know if there is a MP3 of Erland van Lidth singing Down in the Valley (as he did in the movie Stir Crazy)? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.202.29.230 (talk) 00:49, 19 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The voice one hears in the film is that of the singer who sang the recording to which Erland sang the song in the movie in order to pace his performance to that tempo required by the director's concept. When the looping of the dialogue and singing was to take place, the SAG-AFTRA strike was on, so he was prevented from looping in his own voice, which was a bass-baritone. I am not aware of any MP3 recording at this point. - Philip van Lidth de Jeude (Earland's brother) Philipvanlidth (talk) 08:46, 12 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
