Hello, adding the requested sources, including articles from the Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, Baltimore Sun, CNN and others. Also referenced the Erickson website to substantiate the campus locations and first-hand documentation regarding the current number of residents and employees.

Erickson's notability is rooted primarily in the scale of the business and its impact on tens of thousands of residents and employees. (the entity served more people than most colleges) Erickson is also remarkable for innovation in the senior care industry; which is referenced in the sources, but not in the article itself. (hopefully someone else will add that material, or I will come back at some time.) To be honest, you will not find many businesses in the world that have dont so much for so many people.

Of potential interest, the Erickson Living and Erickson Retirement Communities brands are not as well known because of local branding by each community / campus. I.e. Charlestown (one of Erickson's largest community - and the largest CCRC in the country in 2000) is known in Baltimore as Charlestwon Community. In Michigan, Erickson is known as Hentry Ford Village and Fox Run, etc... From driving by one of the campuses in Baltimore today, it looks like they are trying to brand more heavily as Erickson rather than the local campus name.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.85.56.242 (talk) 21:51, 22 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

There was never any doubt that Erickson is a notable company. Here at Wikipedia however, it's all about establishing the notability and proving it. In the case of Erickson, these two core policies are now met: the Commission on Affordable Housing and Health Facilities is WP:RS and the the other sources support the claims, although Answers.com is not a reliable source - in fact it might sometimes take its contents from Wikipedia. --Kudpung (talk) 03:24, 23 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Page move?

[edit]

The text says that the company name has been changed to Erickson Senior Living. Should this page be moved to reflect it? At the least, a re-direct should be created. 107.77.203.217 (talk) 04:46, 1 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I made the move today, and then noticed that this question was posed. Nereocystis (talk) 21:28, 27 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
