[edit]Is there any other place people can get Erethism besides factories? And is this still going on? (svit). — Preceding unsigned comment added by Svitolyte (talk • contribs) 18:09, 18 April 2012 (UTC)
-->I plan on adding a section that expands on the places/other occupations one can get Erethism other than in older hat factories.Louispi (talk) 05:02, 7 December 2021 (UTC)
Is the diagnoses of Erethism even studied anymore? (svit)
There is not any solid info on this topic, expect defintions, where may i find some solid info, any leads?? --Brpaston (talk) 18:52, 4 May 2012 (UTC)Brpaston
I added the symptoms to erethism even thought it was already said in the previous paragraph because there was a little bit more information and explains that people can actually change their attitude and character based on this erethism disease. I added some more information on Mercury poising, but since the first paragraph of this article has a mercury poising tab I figured they already have a lot of information on the tab so i thought I shouldnt add more. Im not so sure on what more to add. Maybe what medicine to take? Are there any ideas on what things I can add? I did discover that Eretheism, is also known as the mad hatter disease. --Brpaston (talk) 00:59, 3 May 2012 (UTC)brpaston--Brpaston (talk) 00:59, 3 May 2012 (UTC)
Except discovering that Eretheism is also known as the mad hatter disease i really couldn't discover anything else on the topic, except basic info that is already in the article. --Brpaston (talk) 01:38, 4 May 2012 (UTC)brpaston
I plan on adding in a new section to the page that lists the biomarkers of exposure for mercury in the workplace (such as nails, urine, etc.), and explaining their differences.Louispi (talk) 05:04, 7 December 2021 (UTC)
erethism questions
[edit]There isn't a lot of info on erethism, but is there anyone on this website that can talk about someone they know who had erethism? that would be very interesting. (svit)
Does anyone know where I can find info on treatements for Erethism? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Brpaston (talk • contribs) 23:42, 2 May 2012 (UTC)
Does Erethism affect any other parts of the body except the nervious system? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Brpaston (talk • contribs) 00:38, 3 May 2012 (UTC)
Mercury bio-accumulates in the organs despite what the experts claim. Hence it is impossible to test mercury toxicity from amalgam fillings. Easier to disregard the solid neurotoxicity science.
Besides all the symptoms of emotional and physical feelings, are there any other symptoms that show on skin or any part of the body that show you have erethism? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Svvitolyte (talk • contribs) 01:10, 30 April 2012 (UTC) (svit)
I've checked databases and multiple sources, but i cannot find any really good solid information on Erethism, would anyone know where i can dig up solid info about this topic. --Brpaston (talk) 00:22, 4 May 2012 (UTC)brpaston
Redundant style
[edit]Especially the introductory text is extremely redundant. A proper restructuring might avoid repeating that it's mercury poisoning and that it used to be an occupational disease with felters. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.5.2.251 (talk) 20:19, 11 March 2018 (UTC)
- I took a crack at paring it down so that it's not overbearing. I hope it's at least somewhat improved. TylerDurden8823 (talk) 09:07, 6 August 2018 (UTC)
It doesn't mention mercury gotten from food sources
[edit]The article puts emphasis on inhaled mercury, but it shamelessly avoids speaking about mercury poisoning from food sources. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.154.21.187 (talk) 19:36, 4 March 2019 (UTC)
