Before I go ahead and create this, are hospitals covered by inherent notability?--Launchballer 09:23, 15 October 2013 (UTC)
- So far as I know, no. Things that are are indisputable - it's a high school or it isn't, or a railway station or not, an inhabited place or not. Hospitals are more of a grey area. They can be tiny two bed affairs or large affairs like that at Fazakerley which gets gridlocked at rush hour and is tricky to find places in on foot. Ones like Guys and Great Ormond Street are definitely notable, but ones like Ormskirk District General are much less likely (Fazakerley does - as Aintree University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and it's got a redirect now). I'd go for good referencing instead of depending on inherent notability. Peridon (talk) 11:51, 15 October 2013 (UTC)

What that is meant to be; once it is moved to userspace, the category will automatically be added. How come it doesn't work?--Launchballer 12:47, 21 October 2013 (UTC)
- You seem to have created it, but I think there's a bit more to getting a template to work. I'm not even quite sure what it is supposed to do, and how. Could you explain a bit? Peridon (talk) 16:01, 21 October 2013 (UTC)
- Very very simple (in my opinion at least): categories are 'censored' when used in drafts (userspace, AfCspace etcetera) using :. This automatically updates the category to work when the page is moved.--Launchballer 16:21, 21 October 2013 (UTC)
- I think VP Tech is the place to ask. It sounds like an interesting gadget. I thought from your question that it was supposed to guess the category for you, and couldn't see how it could. Peridon (talk) 16:33, 21 October 2013 (UTC)

- I think this could be made to work technically, if {{DC}} were something like...
{{main other | [[Category:{{{1}}}]] | [[:Category:{{{1}}}]] }}
- ...but I don't recommend this. Hiding categories inside templates will break a few tools which expect to see "[[Category:" as literal text. For example, unless AWB is modified, it would think that {{DC|Some category}} was some kind of navbox, and would move it up above the defaultsort and persondata. -- John of Reading (talk) 19:08, 21 October 2013 (UTC)
