image of sandals doesn't match the text?

The image (a pair of narrow-strapped sandals) does not look anything like what the description ("low shoes ... resemble slippers") leads me to expect. Can someone clarify? I would love to see illustrations for each of the historical shapes. Thank you. 06:06, 14 January 2009 (UTC)
