Bukit Merah, Perak, rare-earth mine

[edit]

I've just added the rare-earth mine cleanup to the list of links to pollution-related stories in this article. One outstanding problem, though, is with the name and location of the town in question. Please see the brief and bifurcated article on the town(s) and my extended, hopefully clear comments (it's a tangle, at long distance) at Talk:Bukit Merah, Perak#Name confusion. Bottom line: I can't resolve the basic geography. The NYTimes reporting which I'm relying on seems to be good. But as long as the basic geography is unresolved Wiki has a real gap. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Swliv (talk) 00:14, 21 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
