Contested deletion

[edit]

Looks like this page has been dormant for a while but requires significant improvements, I've had a quick go in my lunch break but want to come back to several sections, mainly the Challenges and the Construction Sector section. I agree that this page should not be deleted, as EPDs are increasing in popularity and are specified in several new regulations, including the US Inflation Reduction Act (specifying the use of ISO 21930) and the EU Construction Products Regulations (specifying the use of EN 15804). More and more people will be searching for information about EPDs and the wiki page should be a useful first step for those unfamiliar with the world of environmental impact reporting and emissions accounting. This page should not be speedy deleted because it is not simply a company, product or service, but a standardized set of procedures for quantifying the environmental impact of a product, see here. If you want me to rewrite the page then ok give me time, but I think it's worth having as several pages link to this, without referring to what it is specifically.

I added a quick sentence about how EPD's are just a disclosure statement. I might work on this article for a class assignment, if that's alright? Or is it not worth it, since there was a debate about it's deletion?Rukataro (talk) 15:03, 29 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
