Track Title Origin
The plane, Enola Gay, was named after one of the pilots' mothers. This would add additional pertanance to the lyric, "Is mother proud of Little Boy today?"
Indeed, quoting the Wikipedia entry for Enola Gay:
"Tibbets had the plane named after his mother, Enola Gay Tibbets"

- Well it took several years, but this point just got added. I also created a new article for the book that was the inspiration for naming his mother in the first place, with several intriguing exerpts.--Tdadamemd (talk) 13:52, 22 March 2011 (UTC)
Utah Phillips
Is this the same as the Utah Phillips song?Pustelnik (talk) 19:57, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
- In the article about Utah Philips it is said that he wrote this song himself. Andy McCluskey wrote the OMD song: two different songs with the same title. EHonkoop (talk) 09:38, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
Multiple songs with the same name
Quasar Wut-Wut, in its album Taro Sound, has produced a song with the same title, which makes the title of the article misleading. I'd like the title to be changed to Enola Gay (OMD song) or Enola Gay (Orchestral Maneuvers of the Dark song). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.66.132.91 (talk) 21:14, 5 May 2010 (UTC)
This is absurd. The song is recognized world-wide as an OMD song. If any differentiation is needed, it should be applied to the Quasar Wut-Wut song, which most peoplehave never heard of, myself included. Gil gosseyn (talk) 22:48, 20 January 2016 (UTC)
Manhattan Project (song) see also
An IP editor is constantly removing this from the see also section.
Arguments for inclusion are that both songs are about The Manhattan Project, and related criteria. There is nothing unusual about including such things in "See also" sections.
I'd also like the editor to clarify exactly what he means by "Uncitable, unprovable" in his edit summary. Why is a song called "Manhattan project" that contains a verse with the lines:
- Imagine a man when it all began
- The pilot of "Enola Gay"
- Flying out of the shockwave on that August day
- All the powers that be, and the course of history,
- Would be changed for evermore...
Not applicable in an article about a song entitle "Enola Gay" that contains lyrics
- It's 8:15, and that's the time that it's always been
- We got your message on the radio, conditions normal and you're coming home
- Enola gay, is mother proud of little boy today
If anything, we should be reciprocating, and adding "Enola Gay" to the Rush article. Chaheel Riens (talk) 15:28, 26 September 2013 (UTC)
- PS: The ip editor is now at 3RR - I feel it only fair to warn them of this, and that further reversion would be a transgression, and could be seen as clear edit-warring. Chaheel Riens (talk) 15:43, 26 September 2013 (UTC)
