At no time does it say:

As Enguerrand died without male issue he was followed by his brother Guy I as Count of Ponthieu.

Keyword search Guy at no times does the text say this. Pipera (talk) 23:28, 4 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

States:

It was not a happy start for Enguerrand's successor, his younger brother, Guy, who must have been a very young man in 1053.

Her had a brother Guy yes, he also had a son Guy as well. Pipera (talk) 23:33, 4 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

At no times in the referenced document state anything about his relationship with a Guy.

Pages 351 give a line of descent here it states a daughter Adelaide 1096. It states he was slain in 1053. There is no stated date of birth for his son, however he died in 1100.

So, saying he was his brother would be chronologically wrong. Pipera (talk) 23:44, 4 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Right there on page 351 it says "Adelaide m. 1stly, Enguerrand II, count of Ponthieu, who d.s.p.m., being slain in 1053." D.s.p.m. is defined in the definitions section of the work, on pages xxxiv-xxxvi, where it means "died without male issue". So Enguerrand had no son. There are a number of updated versions the work. Pipera (talk) 03:56, 5 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
