141 year career
[edit]Is Lion's 141 year career considered any sort of record? Seems obscenely long to me, given that she wasn't specifically preserved like Victory. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.19.84.33 (talk) 19:11, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
- She was rebuilt (to varying degrees of completeness) 4 times during her 'life'. Some of these may have been total rebuilds, with little to none of the original ship remaining. This was common at the time. The reason for each of these incarnations being grouped into the one article is that ships often remained on the active list despite existing in a state of potentially total dismantlement, so the official records show her as one and the same.
