Date Confusion
[edit]I apolgize to the person who entered St. Emma's feast day, as it isn't in April, but in June. I took this from catholic.org, a normally very reliable source. I wonder if you looked at a diffrent saint perhaps. 67.48.83.212 05:13, 19 January 2007 (UTC)67.48.83.212 05:12, 19 January 2007 (UTC)veghead13
Name Change
[edit]I moved this article, removing "saint" from the title per naming conventions. I added the qualifier "of Ludger" to distinguish her from the two other saints named simply "Emma" (celebrated on 12 May and 29 June) so that confusion such as above can be avoided, and to make room for any future disambiguation. -- Pastordavid 20:15, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
- "Emma of Ludger" is bizarre and unworkable, Ludger not being a placename but the name of her husband. In German she is known sometimes as "Emma of Lesum", and I have moved the article accordingly. The conventions on saints' names allow for the possibility of leaving "Saint X" where there is no obvious alternative, and that would perhaps have been the better course here. The refs you give are dead, by the way. HeartofaDog (talk • contribs) 14:10, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
