Notability
[edit]This article claims that the book was reviewed in different publications, and that would establish notability. But those reviews aren't referenced, and should be removed. Is this book truly notable? -- Mikeblas (talk) 16:07, 22 June 2014 (UTC)
- refs used in reviews section areWP:COI as they are from the dustjacket of the book?Coolabahapple (talk) 03:30, 21 February 2015 (UTC)
- Don't worry, in addition to the newspaper literary column reviews, there are plenty of print (not online) reviews, as it was published in the wake of The Summer Birds, (which earned a Carnegie Medal commendation), including Margery Fisher's in Growing Point; one in Virginia Kircus; and one in The Junior Bookshelf.
- There is also fairly extensive coverage in David Rees' The Marble in the Water. Hugo Crago wrote a lot on it from a psychologist's perspective. A great collection of reviews is in Children's Literature Review (Gale)
- It's just more difficult to track them down, as none of them are online. Fh1 (talk) 01:34, 5 July 2022 (UTC)
