Brain tumour nomenclature
[edit]Emlyn had a brain tumour. Not brain cancer because the primary tumour was first found in the brain. A tumour remains a tumour in name until it mastesizes (or buds off) and spreads to new tisses. Then it, sadly, becomes the disease named - cancer.
Because the brain is enclosed in a sack the a primary in the brain cannot spread to new tissues or organs (due to the brain/blood barrier). To call it cancer in the brain means that it is secondary tumour that has budded off from a primary tumour which is elsewhere in the body. Ultimately reaching the brain area. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.151.93.189 (talk) 22:07, 21 June 2008 (UTC)
- Brain tumours can be benign or malignant - as you can see from the article. Jim Michael (talk) 23:59, 4 May 2011 (UTC)

Career Section
[edit]His Liverpool career in this article, 1967-79, is nearly word for word taken from the book by James McCarthy, LFC You'll Never Walk Alone, published by CODA books. Spare Koppers (talk) 03:05, 28 September 2022 (UTC)
Dates
[edit]The article says Emlyn Hughes began on a Question of Sport in 1979 and some time later, Princess Anne was on the programme. This is incorrect. Emlyn Hughes must have been the Captain on a Question of Sport much earlier than 1989 as Princess Anne's appearance was 5th February 1987 which was the 200th episode of the show. References below, but I'm not able to edit the article. Perhaps someone could edit and find the correct date he started on a Question of Sport.
